ABOUT ARTIST

Mustafa Kazak was born in 1958,Afyon,Turkey.He lives in Kutahya for a long time. Kütahya City is the homeland of this Otoman Ceramic Tile art.
He started this Old Otoman Art in 1991.He was inspired by the city of Kutahya and its distinguished artisans.
As being a native of Anatolia, which is the landlord of many civilizations and originated by the synthesis of different cultures, he decided to deal with a new theme never studied in this art before in the name of carrying Anatolia’s heritage to new generations.
He studies with old Ottoman tiles to replicate the icons,mosaics and murals of the churches in different regions of the country with a unique and authentic art style. In his works of art, he replicated Jesus Christ and Saints of Christianity from the icons and murals without changing their today’s original state in order to give the mystical ambience.
By his works of art, he brings old Christian art in today’s world and even in our homes for decorative purposes. He became successful in collating two different arts of two different religions.
